[Host 1]
So, Chip, how did this Way Out West podcast get started?
[Host 2]
Well, it really all started with me talking to myself about cowboy stories. First in my head, and then eventually into a microphone.
Honestly, I figured maybe my mom and a couple of my cowboy buddies would tune in, but seeing these download numbers climb each week… Well, I’m half convinced my horse Whiskey is out there clicking ‘play’ over and over just to make me feel good.

Howdy. Chip Schweiger, here.
Just popping in for a quick minisode between Seasons 3 and 4.
First off, I want to tip my hat to every one of you—thanks to y’all, Way Out West just entered into the rarified air of the top 10 percent of all podcasts in terms of week one downloads.
That’s a new record for this cowboy, and I couldn’t have done it without your support.
I’m putting a hooey on our marathon Season 3 and taking a short breather to gather up some fresh stories and adventures for Season 4. But don’t worry—I won’t leave you hanging long.
I’ll be back with all new episodes in a brand new Season 4 that starts next week on October 22nd—timed perfectly with one of the four holy weeks in all of the cowboy class, the Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering right here in the Fort Worth Stockyards.
And Season 4 is gonna be jam-packed with more tales from the American West, and even a few surprises.
In the meantime, if you’ve got an episode idea or a story you’d love to hear, drop me a line on social media or through the website. And if you’re all caught up, why not share your favorite episode with a friend who loves the cowboy way of life as much as you do?
Until next time, this is Chip Schweiger, reminding you to keep riding for the brand and stay tuned for more stories of the American West from Way Out West.
We’ll see ya next week.
